A sale is a LAG indicator. If your target is 2 new clients per month, and you get to the end of the month having only created 1 new client, there is nothing you can do to influence this up or down. The horse has bolted.
Measure LEAD indicators and if, halfway through the month, you've generated 20% of the leads you need to create 2 sales...you can up the volume of activity in your marketing and generate the extra 80% of leads.
Measure LEADS and NOT sales.
Focus on those who love your content.
You've created great results for your clients, SO SHOUT ABOUT THEM.
Can you double someone's turnover in 6 months?
Then TELL PEOPLE about it.
Can you change people's lives?
Then tell stories about the lives you've changed...
Hate the VAT man, then write about it.
